About Us
On our open innovation platform, highly renowned scientists and industry representatives work together intensively and interdisciplinarily to jointly shape the sustainable paradigm shift of the biological transformation. We combine research from different fields such as mechanical engineering, process engineering, biology, biotechnology, medical technology, architecture, nutritional sciences, and computer science to develop new system architectures that pursue a common goal: sustainable production and lifestyles.

Our Goals
Biointelligent production offers great opportunities for a sustainable transformation of the industry. With our base in the Stuttgart region, we aim to establish Germany and Europe as a global epicenter in research, development, and transfer. We generate new impetus for policy and create knowledge and structures for efficient translation into industry.
- Establish Baden-Wuerttemberg, the Federal Republic of Germany and the European Union as pioneers, lead markets and exporters of biointelligent products and production systems
- Intensify interdisciplinary cooperation in basic and applied research
- Initiate the development of basic architectures and technology platforms at an early stage as part of research and development projects
- Promote technology transfer from research to industrial application
- Maintain an open dialog with society and politics at an early stage
- Drive forward the innovative and effective design of education and training programs
- Establish a flexible and innovative start-up scene
